The Power of Play (Sense and Grow Series)

Join us for an interactive, hands on, sensory play and child development series, educating on the importance of sensory play and your child’s developmental needs!
Each session will have a “make and take” component for you to take home, utilize and enjoy!
WHO:
Parents and caregivers of children 0-5 years of age and faculty/staff/students interested in this topic.
Session 1: Sense the Space
April 2nd 1-2 pm Ferguson 249 Sensory Lab
Learn about the importance of surrounding spaces and incorporating senses (colors, textures, lighting, and more!)
Session 2:Natures Classroom
April 8th, 12-1pm Ferguson 249 Outside Area
Learn about how nature and the environment help to educate children and can influence their development!
Learn about toys, games, and more that help with cognitive and fine motor development.
Session 3: The Power of Play
April 23rd, 1-2 pm Ferguson 249
Learn about toys, games, and more that help with cognitive and fine motor development.
Series presented by Savannah Overman. Savannah is a current MPH student and HealthyUNCG intern graduating in May. Savannah is excited to combine her undergraduate experience in Human Development and Family Studies focused in Child Life with her new Public Health background for this series on sensory play and child development.

Preferred but not required to attend all sessions
