Making the Grade In Workplace Wellness
Overview
The Making the Grade in Workplace Wellness Network is a collaborative, interdisciplinary group of professionals dedicated to creating healthier, more supportive workplace environments across our region. Originally formed through participation in the Making the Grade in Workplace Wellness Spring Symposium (2011-present), this network continues to grow as a vibrant community of wellness leaders committed to sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and building sustainable wellness practices within their organizations.
This network connects professionals from a wide range of sectors—including higher education, healthcare, government, nonprofits, and private industry—who share a common goal: to make their workplaces healthier and more responsive to the needs of employees.
Key focus areas of the Workplace Wellness Network include:
- Sharing best practices and lessons learned in building strong wellness foundations
- Identifying and disseminating effective resources and toolkits
- Highlighting and discussing successful programming and strategies from various institutions
- Collaborating to overcome barriers to wellness, including limited time, funding, or organizational buy-in
- Creating space for meaningful networking, idea exchange, and peer support
The network operates as a space for collaboration, encouragement, and innovation, where members can continue the momentum of the Spring Summit year-round through ongoing discussions, resource-sharing, and potential joint initiatives.
Together, we strive to foster a culture of wellness that is inclusive, sustainable, and responsive—not only improving employee well-being but also enhancing organizational performance and morale.
Making the Grade in Worksite Wellness Regional Networking Meetings Are Back!
| We invite you to take part in our free regional meetings, as well as our one day Conference in May! What is the difference between a regional meeting and the Making the Grade Conference? Regional meetings create a welcoming and collaborative space for wellness leaders to connect with colleagues in their geographic area. These smaller, relationship-driven gatherings encourage conversation, resource sharing, and peer-to-peer learning in an intimate, supportive environment. Our annual conference builds on the insights and feedback gathered during regional meetings. The conference planning team uses this information to shape the program, ensuring the day’s sessions, speakers, and topics directly reflect the interests, challenges, and emerging needs expressed by you!The result is a full-day, high-impact learning and networking experience designed to equip professionals with practical tools, innovative strategies, and new perspectives to strengthen wellness initiatives across organizations. |
